A Dupe For Farsali Rose Gold Elixir?!
As I mentioned before, primer is my a must for my makeup routine, and a good primer canacts as an undercoat aka a base for foundation and is able to make it stay longer. The primer might be a dupe of the Insta-famous Farsali Rose Gold Elixir is Nyx Cosmetics Honey Dew You.
Brand Description: “Inspired by honey’s golden glow, we developed a primer that neutralizes the appearance of discoloration and redness. Our innovative light reflective gold flecks create a luminous look that will help keep your skin looking radiant all day.”
It was a bit of scary for me to put this primer on; it gave me an impression that this is a very rich and extremely hydrating primer. Since it’s quite humid here, greasy face is so not welcomed. However, I was wrong! This actually is a light-weighted primer that has gold flecks inside. I believe most of instagrammers already saw the wonder of using a few drops Farsali Rose Gold Elixir in your makeup routine; though this NYX Honey Dew You might be a better opinion, price wise.
I love everything about this primer; the bottle; the name, the gold flecks, and the applicator. My foundation went on smoothly, what I love this primer the most is once you put it on, it felt like your foundation stick on your face pretty good while still blends well. However, I can’t really say this is a dupe of Farsali Elixir, since the Farsali one is oil based, though NYX Honey Dew You does have a thick consistency, it’ is water based. However, the price difference is pretty obvious, Farsali Rose Gold Elixir costs $54 and Nyx Honey Dew You costs $17( plus Ulta always have sales of Nyx products). The only downside is this product contains perfume, and for this reason I might not use it often. After all, it's never a good idea to put anything contains perfume on your face. What do you think?
(Thank you NYX Cosmetics for gifting me this product, as always all opinions are my own and honest)
