A $95 Beauty Oil With 23-Karat Gold

Tatcha is without a doubt one of my favorite skincare brands; I admire and love the founder Victoria and the whole spirit of her brand. This Tatcha Camellia Beauty Oil is one of my latest skincare purchases. It’s a beauty oil that made from the extra extra virgin Japanese Camellia oil and infused with many other amazing ingredients including the 23-Karat Gold. It can be used for face, body and hair.

First impression: such a gorgeous and artistic packaging just like other Tatcha products. This oil gives me mainly herbal scent and slightly floral, it’s pretty pleasant to smell. Even right now it’s summer time, the dryness is in almost every season here. For my skincare routine I use two drops as my final step at night, in this way the oil seals my moisture and serum. For my makeup routine I mix a few drops with my liquid foundation, not only the foundation becomes much easier to blend but also this way it gives me a dewy finish. Even when I use the oil alone just for review purpose, it calms and nourishes my skin instantly. Neither it feels creasy nor heavy, which is the most important for me.

I don’t recall when did it happen but somehow beauty oil becomes an essential of skincare and makeup routine for me. Ironically, I had no intention to try any types of beauty oil before; Maybe subconsciously I think any types of oil is only for people who have extremely dry skin, and I have a combination skin.
