The oil almost everyone is using in their makeup routine

Yasssssss!!!!! I finally got this that almost everyone is using in their makeup routine on Instagram! It's always out of stock on their website. Good thing it's FINALLY available on Sephora.com with two different sizes!!(*updated only 30ml size can be found right now)

For people who haven't heard about this product:

"Farsali Rose Gold Elixir is a fast absorbing, light-weight beauty oil. Infused with 24k Gold, rosehip seed oil and pure botanicals daily moisturizer." You can use it to revive dried cream products, hydrating lips, or mix it with foundation(suggested with full coverage matte ones).

I watched couple videos of how people use this moisturizer. Many of them use a few drops either before applying their foundation as a moisturizer or mix in 2-3 drops with their foundation for dewy makeup look. I also saw some use it as a lip primer or a lip conditioner, especailly before applying matte lipsticks.

Ingredients:

Rosehip seed oil, Safflower seed oil, Pumpkin seed oil, 24k gold, Vitamin E, Lemongrass oil and orange Peel Oil

At first I was just curious, because it never occurred to me that gold can be used for our skin. Also I wonder how can our skin absorb gold flakes. You can actually see lots of them in the oil. I am sure I am not the only one who think this way, so I checked their website and it says " It is widely known that products created with gold have many benefits on the skin. Among to various benefits, Gold slows collagen depletion and the breakdown of elastin to prevent sagging skin. It also stimulates cellular growth to regenerate healthy, firm skin cells and provide a visible tightening effect." It helps a little for me, but I guess I just have to try it myself!

Once I opened the bottle, there was a wonderful citrus-like smell. I put two drops on my makeup brush to mix it with Laura mercia full coverage foundation. It blends heavenly!!!! You can see from my picture above, the picture of me just with foundation on, no setting powder or anything else. It added radiance to my skin and I didn't feel oily whatsoever, and my skin felt nourished. Though, it did make the foundation lose a little coverage, it still gave me enough amount of coverage.

So far I think this oil is almost perfect, however, when I tried it as a moisturizer for my lips, it didn't work so well. I still needed lip scrub. After I applied Fresh lip scrub, I used the oil again, my lips became baby soft and became much easier for me to apply matte liquid lipstick(not sure if it's because of the oil though). I would definitely repurchase it, thinking getting the 15ml one because it's travel friendly.

Price: 30ml, $54
