Laura Mercier Flawless Lumière Foundation Review
Couple years ago, I bought the foundation that has the best coverage and it was from Laura Mercier, but it’s been too long so I couldn’t even remember its full name, it was Silk something and it was in a tube instead of a bottle. After it was discontinued, I never bought any foundation from Laura Mercier untill recently; I just bought their latest foundation -Flawless Lumière Radiance-Perfecting Foundation.

Before making the purchase I didn’t go to the stores to try the colors on like I usually do, so I just used Sephora’s “ Find Your Shade” , I put Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Light Beige and the best color it generated was 2N2 (light with neutral undertones), so I purchased the one. In person, I think the color looks warmer than my currently everyday foundation, but once I applied it on my face it turned out differently; the color isn’t the perfect shade for me but it does match my skin tone and it blends seamlessly. If I am being completely honest, I didn’t expect the coverage would be this good. I didn’t have any high hope since I saw all the negative feedbacks from other customers. Moreover, most of my foundations are full coverage with a matte finish so I really didn’t expect much. I was impressed because I didn’t even put on the second layer, however I feel I do need though (looking at my acne marks in the mirror).
I am glad I bought this foundation. I think this foundation is perfect for people like me who has a normal to dry skin type. However, I wouldn’t use it with makeup sponges just because the consistency is kind of thin and I feel sponges will make it becomes more like a sheer coverage. Moreover, I also love the packaging, I hardly love any glass bottle but this one feels different, and the cap is my favorite part because it’s matte so there won’t be any obvious stain if you use it often.

I've been using the foundation for the past few days, just like other liquid foundations using different applicators gives different coverages, and with this foundation I used Artist brush and it gives the most full coverage.
